The Vlissingen-based company Remijn is involved in drying organic material, such as bread. To reduce its odour emission, it has contracted Polow to design and construct an installation.
Polow will base the installation on a Torbed® reactor fuelled by wood chips to effectively reduce odours and provide Remijn with a cost-effective alternative. The entire installation will pay for itself after 16,000 hours of operation.

In 2003, a Torbed® Rice Husk Combustor will be installed in Haryana State, India. The ash by-product will be recovered and transformed into amorphous silica and used for the production of solar panels.
