Topell BV in The Hague is a fast growing production company of clean Biocoal.

Polow designed and developed Topell's torrefaction installation with which (second generation) Biomass is torrified. After torrefaction, the material is pelletized, with clean Biocoal pellets as end product. The installation is based on compact- and expanded-bed Torbed^® reactors.

For several companies in The Netherlands and the United States, Polow Energy Systems BV and it's US branch Polow Georgia LCC are currently developing installations for the torrefaction of woodchips and (second generation) biomass. All installations are based on expanded-bed Torbed^® reactors and are heated by woodchips and syngas.
