In order to comply with worldwide MARPOL regulations to combat ship-related pollution, harbour commissions need to develop efficient harbour reception facilities that are geared to processing oil residues.

For the harbour commission of Cochin, Polow will develop equipment to remove and process oil residues from ships and tankers in an environmentally-friendly way. The residue will be fed into a Torbed^® reactor for complete combustion.
